Echeveria gibbiflora mix
Echeveria gibbiflora mix — This is a diverse mix of decorative succulents, which includes variations of Echeveria gibbiflora in different colors and shapes. It is popular due to its compact size, attractive rosettes and a variety of colors — green, purple, red or pink shades. However, in recent years, artificially dyed specimens have become increasingly common, which nurseries present in bright, unnatural colors — bright blue, purple, neon pink and similar tones. The leaves of these plants are physically covered with a special dye that interferes with the process of photosynthesis. As a result, the plant does not receive enough energy and begins to degrade — trying to produce new, healthy leaves, but in most cases, if the lighting is insufficient, the plant cannot cope and dies.
➜ Lighting: Likes full sun or bright, diffused light. At least 4–6 hours of sunlight daily. With a lack of light, the leaves stretch and lose their compact shape.
➜ Temperature: Echeveria plants prefer moderate temperatures, between 18-28°C. Avoid frost and freezing conditions, as they can damage the plant.
➜ Air Humidity: These succulents prefer dry conditions and do not require high humidity. They thrive in low to moderate humidity levels.
➜ Watering: Water moderately, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering can cause root rot, so it is essential to avoid excessive moisture.
➜ Fertilizers: Use a diluted, balanced fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer) to encourage healthy growth. Avoid over-fertilizing, as this can harm the plant.
➜ Repotting: Echeverias can be repotted every 1-2 years in the spring. The pot must have drainage holes.
