All cacti belong to succulents, that is, plants whose tissues are adapted to retain moisture. This allows them to survive in the most unfavorable natural conditions. These painted cacti are often used in landscaping and as houseplants, thanks to their hardiness and unique appearance.
➜ Lighting. Requires constant diffused lighting. Loves light, but not direct sunlight. South and west windowsills will be suitable.
➜ Temperature. It feels comfortable at a temperature of 18-25°C.
➜ Air humidity. Likes dry air. If the humidity in your home is maintained at 50%, this microclimate will be quite suitable for succulents.
➜ Irrigation. It is better not to add water than to overfill. Under no circumstances should there be excess moisture. Always remember that this plant grows naturally in dry areas.
➜ Fertilizers. Before mid-summer, it is recommended to fertilize the soil abundantly with special bait for cacti. From August, they prepare the plant for wintering and stop feeding. You can also use mineral fertilizers, but only with a very weak solution.
➜ Transplantation. Young plants every 2 years, and adults every 4-5 years. The flower pot where you plan to transplant the cactus should have very good drainage.
