Spruce Picea glauca Sander`s Blue 5/10 C3
Picea glauca ‘Sanders Blue’ is a decorative variety of Canadian spruce (or white spruce), valued for its compact size, dense crown and particularly attractive silver-blue needles.
➜ Lighting. This variety prefers sunlight, as this is how its silver-blue needles best reveal their unique color.
➜ Temperature. Optimum temperature: +18°C/+24°C; maximum frost resistance: up to -30°C.
➜ Air humidity. This plant likes moderate air humidity — 40–60% humidity in the air is suitable for its development.
➜ Watering. It is necessary that the soil is well drained so that water does not remain in the ground and does not cause root rot.
➜ Fertilizers. Spring is the best time to help the plant grow new growth. The best choice would be mineral fertilizer (with a combination of nitro-phosphorus-potassium).
➜ Transplanting. If you have a small spruce, transplanting is especially easy — the main thing is that the roots do not dry out. When transplanting into a pot, you should choose good drainage and regular feeding. Spring (April-May) – the plant begins to grow and easily adapts to a new environment. Transplanting in summer and autumn is not recommended, as the plant is actively growing at this time and it may be difficult for it to adapt to a new place.
